Road trip

We’ve been gone for almost two weeks on a Pacific west coast road trip and just got back. Alex came with us and together we had a wonderful time. We left Washington state, went down the Oregon coast, then California, Nevada, a little bit of Arizona, Utah, Idaho, then back to Oregon and Washington. I’m not glad to be back to the cold, rainy and gloomy state I live in. Some future changes must happen:) Here’s a little glimpse to our fun adventures:)

Oregon: Cannon Beach, Tillamook cheese factory, couple state Parks where we spent the night, Florence, Dune City where we drove ATV’s.

California: RedWoods National Park- Trees of Mystery Touristic attraction, Ventura city, Universal City, Hollywood sign, Hollywood walk of fame, Los Angeles, Santa Monica Beach, San Francisco

Nevada: Las Vegas

Arizona: passing through

Utah: Zion National Park- spectacular, Salt Lake City with the best authentic Thai restaurant called Sarah Thai Food,

Idaho: drove straight through it

Oregon: Baker City,

Washington: home. One day we were in 3 states: Woke un in Salt Lake City, Utah, drove right though Idaho where the most amazing blue skies and white clouds I’ve ever seen are, and entered Oregon, where we found a motel in Baker City and only junk food is available. Hard to find vegan, gluten-free organic restaurant food.

We had a wonderful time and made lots of great memories:)

Enjoy the pictures.

“Gypsies stole a tank in the village of Ljubimovka. Once again. Gypsies. Tank. They stole. From the Russians, “write the locals. Kachovky, in the village of Ljubimovka in the Kherson region, informs Unian.

“Actually, I don’t know how to tell you, but some Roma stole a tank from the Russians. I’ve never been more proud, “wrote one Twitter user.

When my brother, Alin, shared this news with us- our Damean family- on Whatup I laughed so hard for a long time. God answers in funny ways our prayers. Now we need the Roma, or gypsies in the area to steal the rest of Rusia’s army equipments and Ukraine will be safe. I had to share this.

God Bless:)

Ukraine- We Pray for you

I join the millions of people on this earth and pray for Ukraine, the land of my great-grandpa- I’m sure I have distant relatives there- and for the rest of the world governments not to just sit on their asses and do nothing to help.

My baby sister who lives in Europe, tolled me today some of the news coming from Romania: About 10000 refugees, mostly women and children entered Romani looking for safety. Interestingly enough that’s how my great-grandpa on my mother’s side came to live in Romania too. All dual citizenship Romanian- Ukraine, can enter Romania without problems. If not a citizen only children and women are allowed in, the men are sent to fight for their country. Lots of churches and missions await the refugee at the borders with food and water. I am so proud of my country Romania for the help they provide to the our neighbors the Ukrainian refugee. I continue to align myself and pray for this to stop.

God be with Ukraine

The war

Like many of you, I’m speechless to see what’s going on in Ukraine, which borders Romania on the east side. I was born in Romania, but my great-grandfather came from Ukraine. Funny, he ran from his country with his brothers during the WWI looking for refuge, and worked for food in the nearest Romanian village until he settled. So I guess I could say it’s personal what’s going on in Ukraine as I’m sure it is for many of my readers.

China launched 9 airstrikes against Taiwan the same time Russia began theirs attack against Ukraine. Coincidence? I think not, meanwhile the fanatical left- not the normal people that consider themselves democrats politically- are pushing communism into the veins of this country forcefully. I recognize it because I grew up in communism. God help us to wake up to what’s really going on.

I pray for those in harms way to find some refuge and escape this nightmare.

God bless

P.S. Some transportation companies in Romania are volunteering their time and equipment- busses- to help Ukrainian refugee. So proud of them:)

Războiul urlă

Mi-o amuțit, o Doamne, sufletul

Și inima mi sa întunecat

Când văd războiul ăst cum urlă

Și cum atacă om nevinovat și vinovat.

Mă-ntreb în mine: Doamne,

Chiar este ceea ce văd adevărat?

Mă-alătur celor care strigă-acuma

Și-ți cere ție ajutor, dar ce păcat

Că ura, spaima și furtuna

Învinge iară pentru un moment.

Deschide Doamne inimile dure
