Getting old

Getting old is hilarious. One needs a sense of humor, otherwise, it can shrink down to an unpleasant stage.

The other night, Chet and I got ready for bed. As usual, Chet paid me some complements, but my hearing must’ve been asleep already because what he said and what I heard could not be more contrary.

“You’re super awesome!” Chet’s complement.

“I’m suppressed?” Me asking back, laughing.

“No! I said you’re awesome.” Now we’re both laughing.

“Thank you Chet. You’re awesome as well.”

Chet figured he should try again.

“You’re the best!”

“I’m depressed?”

We laughed for a good minute then went to sleep:)
